We were a little worried, cause now we would have to race the b-main. Started 2nd row again and quickly jumped into 2nd place behind Conover. This is were we would finish.

Our starting position for the feature was deep in the field at 19th spot. At the drop of the green flag we quickly began moving to the front. At the first caution, about halfway, many racers had retired to the pit area and the end result was that we were sitting in about the 5th position. By the time the next caution flew with 2laps to go I had worked my way to 2nd behind Babcock. I tried to mount a challenge with 1 lap to go and my right front jack bolts had backed off so much that the frame was digging into the track. We would finish this wild night in 3rd.

When the feature went green I was able to quickly pass a few racers and after a couple cars got together in front of me to being out the caution. I was sitting in the 4th position on lap2. The race went green again and I was able to get to 3rd. On lap 4 the 23J of Jason Jimison lost the handle on his racing machine. I darted to the bottom in which Jason and I got together allowing Barney Craig to get into the left rear of the car cutting down a tire. This sent is to the pits for the second week in a row.

I was able to return to racing at the tail end of the field. We were able to complete the race in the 7th position. Oh well, we will try again next Friday night.

Anyway, got there just in time to run the heat race. Had to start the tail and was able to only get a 3rd place finish.

For the 4th race in a row. The inversion wasn't good to us. Still haven't had a chance to start in the top two rows for a main event.

Started in the 3rd row for the feature. The track got really slick and it was difficult to get the tires to the ground. Basically, track position was important cause no one could pass. After 3 attempts to start the race, it went caution free for 15 laps. Finished 4th.

Were off to eldora Saturday night.

Come feature time. We had the best starting position of the year in the 3rd spot. Had a strong front row with gossard and babcock. When the race went green babcock quickly took the lead. I was going with him when gossard wanted the spot. We touch on the backstretch and that allowed tony Anderson to get me.

So, I came out running 4th. I started to work on Anderson but with the slick conditions it was difficult to pass. At about halfway on a restart, I finally got Anderson on the top side.

Running 3rd, I was able to catch gossard and get my nose under him but couldn't ever make a pass. Red flag on lap 12 and sitting 3rd. I was planning to bring it home in 3rd.

Went back racing and gossard got in the wall on lap 14. I made the pass to move into 2nd at the white flag. Then going into the first turn on the final lap, I heard the right front tire blow. The car took a right hand turn into the wall.

I think that's the hardest I've ever hit the wall. I'm ok, but, the car has considerable amount of damage. Well I hope the drive back to ky isn't as long next week.

Got a bad draw and started 10th in the heat race. I was able to get to 3rd by the end of the race. This made is the number 8 pill.

Finished 3rd in the heat race. This out me starting in the 12th position. The track got really slick and there want much passing. After several yellow flags I was only able to stay in the 12th position. Wasn't a good start to the weekend.

In the b main. At the start I dropped to the bottom and came out of turn two in the 3rd spot. However, this time my right front ball joint broke going into turn 3.

I didn't make the a main. I can't even remember the last time I didn't make the race at eldora. Anyway, I think next weekend couldn't be any worse.

We headed to Moler Raceway. However, it was raining when we got to the track. So, we headed to Union County Speedway instead.

We just wanted to run the motor. Anyway, got to the track late and had to start the tail of the 2nd heat. We finished 6th and this put is starting the 12th spot for the feature.

However, the car wasn't right the rest of the night. We finished 5th in the vern heat race and ended up last in the main event.

The event actually started Friday night for the Woodard race team(me and dad). We tore up the car a little Friday night. So, when we got back from lima Friday night about 12:30am we started working on the front suspension and changing gears for eldora. Finished up at about 3am. Saturday morning dad was back at it around 7am and I joined him at 9am. We both worked on the race car until about 2pm. We both took a nap and headed to eldora at about 4:30pm. Anyway, it was a long night.

Drew a 62 pill which had us starting in the 10th position for the heat race. When the green flag flew. We were able to pass several cars at the start and worked our way up to finish 2nd.

Didn't draw well and started the heat race on the tail. It took me the whole length of the race to get to the 3rd position.

Finally, we got a draw. They drew a #9 and that put us starting the feature on the outside pole. When the green flag flew I was able to quickly get to front. By lap2, babcock was already in the 2nd position. I was just tring to stay smooth and not make a mistake. At just past halfway, we started to hit lapped traffic. This slowed me up a bit and babcock started to show me his nose and attempted a pass with about 3 laps to go. I was able to step it up and hold on for my 2nd win in a row.

We started in the 3rd row outside. Behind Craig and babcock. Going into the first turn bancocks motor shut off and Craig and myself started stacking up and I got a cut tire and couldn't get back on the track on the lead lap.

Also finsished 3rd in the KING of the Quarter Mile race (race run by all feature winners from the year)

After the inversion, we were starting the race in the 2nd row outside with babcock and gossard on the front row. When the race went green. Babcock quickly jumped to the lead with gossard and myself following.

Gossard was able to get by babcock around lap 5 and started to check out on us. I was able to get around babcock and then the caution came out and I had to line back up 3rd.

After a couple of laps I was able to get by babcock in turn 3 with about 3 or 4 laps to go. Gossard had a large lead on me and I was able to start to run him down. However, as I got close to him he blew a right rear tire and I was able to pass him for the lead as we got the white flag. We went on to win our 2nd race in a rowat eldora and 4 of the last 10 races.
